Who I'm Lovin' - Fade Interiors.....

I am totally in love with Fade interiors. They carry vintage furniture and antiques from local estates as well as abroad which they restore, if necessary and hand paint using chalky paint in soft muted colors. Aahh, they're singing my song! They also have French and English Victorian mirrors, tables and cupboards. Unfortunately for me, they are they are based in England but don't fret! You can check out their web site. It's absolutely beautiful with tons of inspiration and interior eye candy. I'm sure they would love to hear from you!

Whirling Dervish........

Happy- happy- Joy- joy.
I think Saturday was the first nice day New York has seen in about two months (we've had record breaking rain, more than Seattle...honestly..how do you people do it?).
I discovered the kids expressing their joy with bubbles and hand stands.
I'm sure I had just as much fun watching them as they did frolicking...
How do you express your joy?

Blessings for the journey,

Vintage this and that...

I've had these vintage suit cases around the house for quite some time. I really love them but I was never sure where I wanted them. First the living room, then the bedrooms.
Until.........
My house is of a modest size and storage is always an issue. My sons toys can take over the family room faster than you can say 'play'.
So...storage time.
One became a music suit case and two for puzzles. My little guy loves it. Easy clean up all around.

And I couldn't leave the puppy out. The smallest case is his. He loves it too!

I will be announcing three winners Tuesday for the June giveaway so stay tuned ladies!

They also carry antique and vintage linens, collectible buttons, ephemera, ironstone and a large selection of garden decor. What is creativity and being Original?
I think
Rollo May explains it best...

I define creativity as the act of turning new and imaginative ideas into reality. Creativity involves two processes: thinking, then producing. Innovation is the production or implementation of an idea. If you have ideas, but don't act on them, you are imaginative but not creative.

“Creativity is the process of bringing something new into being...creativity requires passion and commitment. Out of the creative act is born symbols and myths. It brings to our awareness what was previously hidden and points to new life. The experience is one of heightened consciousness–ecstasy.”
— Rollo May, The Courage to Create

Have a Relaxing weekend..

First, enjoy your weekend..I really cannot believe it's Friday again. Is it me? Are the weeks just flying by?
Second, I want to offer my apologies. I was a bad blogger this week, the giveaway threw off my wordless Wednesday. The weather here on the east coast has been nothing but rain, rain rain..not one good day for my Thursday 'Around Town" series. I know, excuses, but I will deliver next week..cross my heart.
Blessings for the journey...
