We will be starting something new for Fridays....a new "Get the look" series where we will feature Flax and Spindle and other resources for decorating inspiration! Not every one has a flea market around the corner ya know....
Right now I'm loving the vibe of vintage frames and books. They add a uniqueness that cannot be duplicated and a fantastic way to create visual interest on a wall with out breaking the bank.

There will be a lot going on for the shop in the coming weeks...especially once September rolls around. I 'll have some fabulous finds for sale in addition to pillows made will all sorts of vintage linens. Splish Splash!!

My family and I are off to the local water park, twenty minutes east of the North Fork of Long Island....to be honest, getting into a bathing suite is not one of my most pleasant things to do but; I'll 'take one for the team' today.

And just to let you know.....I WILL NOT be going on any rides named Alien Invasion, Tunnel Of Terror or.....

Cliff Diver......

Finally....

ok..I'm back...no seriously, I'm not joking. I took the year off (even though I said I wasn't going to). Now I'm back and I'm sooo looking forward to getting busy. My shop is online and I'll have two sites, my web site flaxandspindle.com and my Etsy shop. I'm excited to be offering vintage finds and of course hand made elements from my vintage linens.

My little guy is starting kindergarten in the fall (pass the hankies) so it's time to take things to the next level. Thanks for hanging in there everyone! (especially lori from white flower farmhouse). I hope I havn't lost too many of you!
